What a powerful decade we are heading into! Astrologically, this year brings big opportunities to grow in goodness and refine our nature. Many gifts are in store if we have been practicing self-discipline.

Jupiter is heading into Pisces on Jan. 17th to stay for a year. Jupiter is the biggest planet and is associated with optimism, generosity, opportunity, faith and hope. Whatever Jupiter contacts he expands! Planetary energy is always neutral and can be used for good or for ill; it is up to you. Jupiter finds itself right at home in Pisces who is the ruler of Neptune with its dreamy, mystical quality. Pisces is a water sign, the most spiritual of all signs, flexible, fluidic and flowing; creative energy pouring effortlessly into life when used positively. I suggest this year is the perfect time for expanding your dreams of the world you see. This cycle of Jupiter will give you the fuel.

Understand how powerful your mind is for creating. Our habit, compounded by the media, is to focus on fixing problems. (Remember: watching TV creates a stream of consciousness running through you. Notice the power that may have on your personal life.) Whatever we focus on, we nourish and thereby create more of. So by focusing on problems, what do we get? More problems! We think that by contriving solutions we can implement them and rid ourselves of the problem. The limitation with this is that we don’t know all the implications of every situation. What we end up doing is shifting problems around. We occupy our life by solving all the problems initially created in our mind.

On the other hand, by keeping our mind on what you want to see, you set up a vibration to attract it. Be here now, do it now, feel it now, be it now, in this present moment. Your internal pictures and feeling state will create a shift in your life sometimes so gradually it is hardly perceived, but you will know it by increased happiness and joy.

Your joy factor will remain constant as you are continually refining your ideas of what you want…Start paying attention to how you feel. Joy will be yours immediately, and everything else that you have ever thought would make you happy, will

Let’s look at what would happen if we allowed ourselves to see the world we want to live in. A clean environment and water, adequate housing and food for every human being, mutual respect for all of earth’s inhabitants and plenty of money and time…looks pretty awesome, doesn’t it? How would we wake up every morning if this were the truth we see? Since we would not have anything to fix or worry about, we would do the natural thing that humans do, CREATE! We can now work on creating the best person that we can be. We can give more time and energy to our passions, to helping others in need, to forgiving ourselves, to exploring new ideas and new creations, to becoming all that we can be. We can learn how to take better care of ourselves. And when we do things that are good for us, they are automatically good for humanity.

Pisces is the sign of two fish swimming in opposite directions. Jupiter in Pisces can be full of surprises as it takes off in either direction. Don’t look for things to come wrapped in neat packages with bows. Think of the Zen Master who talks in riddles: it is for us to figure out how to use things toward the good. Sometimes the greatest gifts are the ones that teach us how to forgive ourselves and others. The world sometimes demands that we must change. Pisces helps us learn to do this with ease and grace. We will have access to powerful creative energy with Mars in Leo and Jupiter in Pisces through the spring. Together let’s consciously use this energy for the good of humanity!
