A Few Ways to Manifest By Meredith Aldrich
Before talking about manifesting, I want to acknowledge those who choose to live lives of surrender and acceptance of come what may. Many of these folks have taken vows of poverty and I honor their paths.
My first introduction to Prosperity Consciousness was at
a Women of Wisdom conference in Seattle about eight years ago. Madeline
Gerwick-Brodeur gave a half-day seminar with that title, and her room was
filled with eager people. She started out asking what we thought of when
we heard the word “money” and she wrote our answers on a display board.
“Love of money is the root of all evil” was one of the answers. I was
surprised to notice that I feared that I’d be “letting down the tribe” if I
were prosperous. Eight years later that feeling was still alive in me.
I knew I had a severe case of poverty consciousness: I
believed I had to work hard for what little I got, and even after working hard,
it might still be denied to me. I believed that life was a struggle; and
when I thought of my future, I saw limits and obstacles. I needed
Prosperity Thought as much as anyone I knew. As a Gemini, my passion is
to disseminate useful information and I became a teacher to steep myself in the
information and help others.
How had I not heard of the Law of Attraction
before? It is as impersonal and absolute as the law of gravity.
What is like onto itself is drawn. If the Law of Attraction could speak,
it would sound like: “Oh, she’s focusing on ______, she must want more of
it.” You might call it the Universal Manager: whatever you focus on, you
get more of.
And where did my poverty consciousness come from?
My parents and relatives had been quite affluent. I wondered about that for
years and received my answer last summer while reading The Celestine Prophecy
by James Redfield. This book listed three drama strategy choices for
children to pick while growing up (if they needed a strategy): aloof me, poor
me, and intimidator. There was my answer: I had chosen poor me as a child
and the Law of Attraction had been responding to my focus and, in a sense,
giving me what I was asking for ever since.
Intentionality has saved me. I create an intention
based on a preference and desire, then I trust and surrender that it will come
true. It is such a relief to know about the Law of Attraction and to
choose better feeling thoughts.
The quickest way to manifest that I know of is to offer a
feeling of deep satisfaction about having whatever is wished for already and
let the Law of Attraction match it. In her book Steering By
Starlight, Martha Beck recommends starting at the end (of a dream).
Another accelerator in the manifestation process is
expecting something with your heart and soul. If you really expect
something, it’s on its way to you.
Abraham-Hicks Publications’ newest book is called The
Vortex. Abraham, a group of non-physical entities channeled by Esther
Hicks, urge us to find our individual vortices of well-being frequently.
A quick way of getting into one’s vortex is to go into a state of appreciation
of all life. I find that from this state of well-being, I make better
decisions. Plus it feels good.
And if I’m feeling good, I’m on my path. When I want
to get from Point A to Point B and I’m choosing better feeling thoughts and
flowing deep satisfaction much of the time, when I get to Point B and my desire
manifests, it doesn’t matter so much anymore because I felt good along the way.
Meredith Aldrich is a prosperity coach and a certified
NLP practitioner. Her first introduction to Abraham was indirect through Lynn
Grabhorn’s book “Excuse Me, Your Life Is Waiting.” She was already teaching a weekly prosperity class in
Michigan when she went to experience Esther Hicks channeling Abraham in person
in Chicago. Their teachings became
the cornerstone of her lessons.
